| Here are
a few scans to demonstrate what exactly our plans look like. These are taken from both the Expert and
Beginners sections. These plans are made by Real woodworking
craftsmen who know what is needed in a plan to understand
how to build an item again and again. No fancy borders
or colors that others use to hide and disguise a badly
laid out plan. These are true blueprints created with
a purpose in mind, To Create A Masterpiece.
To view what each category of plan includes on the plan and what tools are required for building that level of plan, read the descriptions of each level by clicking on the Questions/FAQs menu link on the left.
Cross-Sections
and Angles
Our plans come with detailed cross-sections when needed to help explain the
construction of angles and or replication of pieces in your own wood shop.
Most items are shown at full size as well to help minimize the chances of
a wrong angle or profile when transferred to your own piece. These are made
as detailed as needed, to help you understand more of what you are building
and not leave you in the dark and will sometimes include minimal instruction
to help you along.
Technical
How-to-Drawings
Our plans also demonstrate, through the great technical drawings, exactly
how a piece is to fit together. How many times have you read over the
instructions in a plan , four or five times, to still not understand
what exactly they are talking about. It is nice to have great instructions,
but if you cannot visualize those words what good are the instructions.
This is why we use complete piece together drawings on most of our Intermediate
and Expert plans and minimal instructions when needed. This allows you
to create your style and not ours. Sure you can probably figure it out
eventually reading instructions, but why not help make it easier and
faster with pictures so you can get that project into your home quicker.
Instructions
and Parts Lists:
Our instructions are one of a kind in ease of reading as well as understanding.
No Masters in Woodworking is needed to understand our steps to follow
to create your own masterpiece. Every beginner plan includes these instructions
and a few of our intermediate plans. The rest of our intermediates and
expert plans include detailed piece together drawings and minimal instructions
to create and work the way you want to work. All drawings also come with
a parts list, so you can get your items together before putting things
together. These are definitely the two most important areas of any plan
and we have tried to make them as clear and concise as possible to help
you make the best item with the littlest of troubles.
As
you can see these are plans put together with a little
bit of thought and experience in mind. A plan is only
as good as the person who is reading it. This is why
all of our readers are Real Woodworkers.
